DELIVERY
We offer a UK courier next-day delivery service as standard which costs £10.
Your order will be despatched by our chosen carrier and will be fully insured, in the UK.
As the majority of our pieces are handmade to order, we have to make your headpiece before we ship it to you. The time it takes to ship orders will vary. However, we contact every customer with an expected shipping date so you will know when you will receive your delivery. Please do also put a required-by-date on your order notes, which will help us prioritise the work within the design studio.
There is an express shipping option at check-out. This does not mean your order will be made any quicker, but that it will be sent to you on a faster delivery service.
Standard delivery to European destinations (including Eire, Northern Ireland & the Channel Islands) is £60 - £100 depending on the hat size, and £15 for all luxury hair accessories. Assuming your order is a stock item and not made to order, delivery can take up to 7 working days.
Standard delivery to the United States of America is £150 and can take up to 8 working days – assuming that your order is a stock item and not made-to-order. Standard delivery for large, feathered hats to America is £180. Please choose express shipping for a faster delivery service of 3-5 days.
We provide the required commercial invoices with our shipments but occasionally there can be delays at customs. We act promptly to speed up release from customs but are not liable for any possible delays at customs.
Email us at info@viviensheriff.co.uk should you require a quote for delivery to destinations outside of those specified above (i.e. all destinations outside of UK, Europe and USA).
International Delivery – the price you have paid to us is the price for the hat and shipping. Local taxes or import duties may be payable on receipt and are not included in your payment to us. It is your responsibility to pay for these and to comply with all local Customs authority requirements in relation to your order. We recommend that you make yourself aware of these requirements before placing your order.
RETURNS
Bespoke or custom-made items are special orders - and as such, these items cannot be exchanged or returned under any circumstances.
All custom-made items are marked as so in the product description.
Ready-to-wear hats and hair accessories may be refunded or exchanged within 7 days from the date you sign for the delivery.
Crystal items are non-returnable.
Before you return something, you must notify us within 24 hours of receiving an item and obtain a return authorisation reference number by emailing us at info@viviensheriff.co.uk
Please include your original receipt in the returned parcel. You must write your return authorisation reference number on the receipt. Any returned items that are not accompanied by an official reference number will not be accepted.

The item you return must be in new, unused, and unworn condition with all the original packaging and tags still attached. We do not accept any item with any indication that it was used. In such cases, the item will be returned to the purchaser.
If you wish to receive a refund, we will re-credit the original purchaser’s credit card for the sum paid less any taxes and duties and less the carriage costs.
It is advisable to send returned items by registered post - and keep your proof of postage certificate - as we cannot be responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. We can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping any item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
Please note that carriage costs for returned goods are the customer’s responsibility and will be reimbursed by us ONLY in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.
In the unlikely event of late or missing refunds:
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

We ONLY replace items if they are defective or damaged, or ready-to-wear hats, hair accessories or crystal items. We do not refund or exchange items marked custom made in the product description.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
Credit card details are retained in case of loss, damage or late return of the hat. Payment will not be taken without notifying you first and your details are destroyed upon safe return of the hat.
If we are unable to supply you with the hat you have hired due to unforeseen circumstances such as a previous hirer not returning it in time or returning it damaged, we will endeavour to find a suitable replacement but cannot guarantee an exact match.
The hat always remains the property of Vivien Sheriff Millinery Ltd. We reserve the right to charge your card the full RRP if the hat is returned to us marked or damaged in any way – this includes but is not limited to dents, holes, make-up and rain marks. The hat should not come back smelling of smoke, perfume or hair products. We will provide tape at the front of the hat to avoid make-up stains.
