Terms and Conditions for Hiring

Each Vivien Sheriff hat is a carefully crafted piece, created by skilled artisans with meticulous attention to detail. To maintain its quality, please handle your hat gently: do not hold it by the brim or trims, and avoid wearing it in wet conditions, as this can cause damage. When not in use, store your hat in its designated box.

Please return the hat in the same condition in which it was received.

Be sure to note the return date and make sure the hat is sent back to the Vivien Sheriff studio by this time. During peak events like Ascot, our hire schedule can be very tight, so we ask you to please return the hat promptly to allow other customers to enjoy their rentals.

A security deposit of £xxx is required when booking your hat. This deposit will be refunded when the hat is returned undamaged, within the return window.

The deposit will not be refunded if the hat is returned late, damaged (including any makeup or rain damage), or lost. If the hat is lost or damaged beyond repair, you will be charged the full retail price of the item (RRP £xxx).

Please return all hats to our studio at: Studio 10 Botley’s Farm, Wick Lane, Downton SP5 3NW. If you are sending the hat by post, ensure it is securely packaged in its hat box within a sturdy box and sent via recorded insured delivery to prevent any damage. We can arrange a collection by prior arrangement. Please note that the cost of shipping is additional to the hire fee.
